The official Florida brochure says an unanswered telephone event call may leave a message and keep trying until acknowledged or for up to 48 hours. E-mail and text generally send once per event. Keep contact details current. If a transfer creates a new agency record, register again rather than assuming the old notice follows the person.
The PIN has a narrow but important role. It confirms that the registered person received a telephone event and stops repeat calls for that event. It is not the inmate's identifier and should not be shared as though it unlocks a custody record. The advocate is not the source record for a jail release. Use that service for notification setup and support, then verify the actual custody event with the reporting agency. If the event concerns Madison County Jail, contact the jail. If it concerns an FDC prison or Community Corrections, use FDC.

Madison Registration After Release
The county jail is also a local registration point for people who are legally subject to criminal or sexual-offender registration. That role is separate from VINE. The Sheriff's registration page says criminal registration can be completed at the Madison County Jail around the clock after calling first. Sexual-offender registration is listed for weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays.
This channel applies only to people with a legal registration duty. It is not a general Madison County released-inmate list, and registry presence does not establish the date or reason a person left jail. When a registry record matters, read its status as published and verify the original release through the Sheriff or FDC record.

For an FDC event, open the Offender Detail record, dedicated release search, and supervised-population search. A person can be out of prison and still under state supervision. Federal sentenced inmates belong in the BOP Inmate Locator. A US Marshals pretrial detainee may be held in a contract jail without being a sentenced BOP inmate. Immigration custody uses ICE's locator and, where appropriate, the separate DHS-VINE service. A Florida VINE release alert cannot settle either federal branch.
